Vancouver — A round of drilling by junior Skeena Resources (SKE-V) has cut wide zones of kimberlite at the 501 and 502 targets on Shore Gold’s (SGF-V) Wierdale property in the Fort a la Corne district of Saskatchewan.
Originally discovered in 1998, hole 3 cut 121.5 metres of kimberlite below 119 metres of overburden at the 502 target.
Moving on to target 501, hole 2 hit 115.8 metres of kimberlite some 144 metres below the surface. Prospective core samples are being prepared for microdiamond counts.
Skeena, which is earning a 70% stake in the property, plans to run a mirogravity survey over the targets, starting in September. To fund the program, the junior has completed a flow-through financing consisting of 1.1 million units priced at 15 each.
