With the remaining results from recent drilling now in-hand, partners Fury Explorations (FUR-V), Alto Ventures (ATV-V) and Noront Resources (NOT-V) are preparing for their next campaign at the Windfall Lake project in northwestern Quebec.
The trio recently sunk 17 holes to bring to 21 the number drilled since drilling began in the summer. Results from the final eight holes include:
- 21.3 grams per tonne over 0.24 metre of a 3-metre length of core (starting at 56 metres) averaging 2.34 grams in hole 14;
- 1.9 grams over 0.82 metre (at 50 metres) in hole 15;
- 5.82 grams over 2.76 metres (at 94 metres) in hole 17;
- 2.15 grams over 0.22 metre (at 15.2 metres) in hole 20.
The second phase targeted five areas, though 13 of the holes focused on strike and downdip extensions to the so-called A and B zones. The zones are structurally controlled and run parallel to one another, each having a strike length of at least 450 metres.
Recent drilling also intersected mineralization 400 and 600 metres west of Zone A and 400 metres to the east of Zone B. All three prospects are structurally controlled, similar to Zones A and B.
Drilling will renew when weather conditions permit.
Fury can earn a 37.5% interest in the property, which covers 534 ha of Urban twp., about 500 metres north of the Urban Barry shear zone. The vendor, Alto, would be left with 12.5%, assuming that Fury spends the required $380,000 by October 2005. The remaining stake is held by Noront.
