Vancouver The latest drill results from the High Lake polymetallic project in Nunavut show that the high-grade B zone get bigger at depth for owner Wolfden Resources (YWO-V).
Aimed at upgrading the resource, hole 7 cut the zone 70 metres down-dip from hole 6 (26.5 metres grading 5.34% copper, 0.06% zinc, 47.8 grams silver and 1.34 grams gold per tonne) and returned 29.6 metres grading 5.21% copper, 0.36% zinc, 40.7 grams silver and 0.75 gram gold from 167.7 metres down-hole.
Continuing to test the horizon at depth, holes 8 and 10 returned 13 metres grading 5% copper, 1.41% zinc, 47.8 grams silver and 0.63 grams gold from 200.5 metres down-hole, and 27.9 metres grading 1.92% copper, 0.65% zinc, 28.3 grams silver and 0.23 gram gold from 238.1 metres down-hole, respectively.
Collared some 85 metres east of hole 8, hole 9 cut 8.1 metres grading 1.4% copper, 0.99% zinc, 25.5 grams silver and 0.22 gram gold from 79 metres down-hole.
Cutting the mineralization off to the north, hole 11 returned only traces of copper, zinc, silver and gold.
Based on the results from the drill program, Wolden has determined that the granodiorite intrusive previously thought to cut off the ore-zone at depth, actually dips steeply to the west and is more probably a synvolcanic sill with the zone open at depth.
The High Lake deposit is one of the highest grade undeveloped polymetallic deposits in Canada with a drill-indicated resource of 5.3 million tonnes averaging 4.05% Copper, 2.36% Zinc, 31.7 grams silver and 1.76 grams gold.
