Eloro cuts zinc at Hurdman (April 05, 2006)

A drilling program by Eloro Resources (ELO-V) at the Hurdman property, 25 km north of Smooth Rock Falls, Ont., has intersected zinc-silver mineralization along the strike extension of known mineralization and in an infill drill hole.

Three drill holes west of the known Hurdman zone intersected zinc mineralization along strike from the zone. Hole ELO-05-02 cut three closely spaced zones of sulphide mineralization, including 4.2 metres grading 1.97% zinc and 2.2 grams silver per tonne, 4.8 metres grading 2.02% zinc and 5.8 grams silver, and 23.6 metres grading 3% zinc and 12.1 grams silver.

Another hole, ELO-05-01, intersected 23.8 metres grading 1.17% zinc and 11.3 grams silver per tonne, while a third hole cut 15.9 metres that ran 1.09% zinc and 22.2 grams silver. The new holes are as much as 130 metres west of any previously drilled mineralization.

The Hurdman prospect, which has had no mineral resource calculated on it, is a shallow-dipping semi-massive pyrrhotite–pyrite-sphalerite body. A surrounding paragneiss host rock contains up to 10% disseminated sulphides.

An infill drill hole, ELO-06-01, intersected 11.6 metres that averaged 3.7% zinc and 7.7 grams silver per tonne. Surrounding drill holes had returned grades between 1% and 3% zinc.

Eloro holds a 100% interest in the project, which covers 66 sq. km and is accessible by logging roads off the provincial highway system.
