United Keno Hill Mines (TSE) has calculated preliminary resource estimates for three past-producing silver mines within its Elsa properties in the Yukon.
Measured, indicated and inferred resources at the three deposits — Bellekeno, Silver King and Husky Southwest — total about 428,500 tons averaging 34.1 oz. silver per ton, with lead and zinc grades estimated at 7.86% and 5.27%, respectively.
Most of the increase was delineated at the Bellekeno, where exploration has focused on the downdip extension of the South zone. Resources have also been expanded at the Silver King mine.
Measured, indicated and inferred resources at the Elsa properties now total 640,000 tons averaging 30.11 oz. silver, plus 6% lead and 6% zinc.
The company will continue to explore the downdip continuation of the Bellekeno and Silver King mines this summer.
