Mid-North eyes Flin Flon ground

Alberta-listed Mid-North Resources will gain a stake in five properties near Flin Flon, Man.

The company will acquire 10% of the War Baby property and a 25% interest in the four remaining properties. The vendors are Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting and Consolidated Callinan Flin Flon Mines (VSE).

War Baby is contiguous, and on strike, with the Callinan polymetallic mine which yields 500,000 tons per year.

Mid-North management thinks ore from the Callinan mine may extend down-plunge on to the War Baby property.

The cost to Mid-North of acquiring the interests has not yet been determined.
