CanQuest testing Cottonbelt polymetallic property in B.C.

Diamond drilling is under way on the Cottonbelt property 60 km northwest of Revelstoke, B.C.

CanQuest Resources (VSE) is testing a geophysical anomaly northwest of the old Cottonbelt surface and underground workings.

The Cottonbelt, a stratiform, lead-zinc-silver-gold deposit, hosts a geological resource of 750,000 tonnes grading 11% combined lead-zinc, plus 55 grams silver per tonne.

The anomaly being tested lies on the western limb of the U-shaped structure known as the Mt. Grace syncline.

CanQuest has identified at least three separate stratibound horizons containing massive-to-disseminated amounts of zinc, lead, copper, silver and gold.

Two companies — Bethlehem Resources, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Imperial Metals (TSE), and Goldnev Resources (VSE) — have a combined option to earn a half interest in the property.
