The Canadian Mining Hall of Fame has announced it is accepting nominations for new inductees, who will be formally honored in early 1997.
Nominations of persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the Canadian mining industry can be made by individuals, firms and organizations but must be done so through sponsor or associate organizations of the Hall of Fame.
Sponsors include: the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada; the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Petroleum; the Mining Association of Canada; and The Northern Miner. Associates include provincial and territorial mining associations, and other mining-related organizations.
Nominations close July 31 and must comply with Hall of Fame guidelines, which are available from sponsors and associates.
