Centurion expands OK copper mine

Results from development drilling at the OK copper mine in Utah have increased proven and probable reserves to 5.3 million tons grading 0.48% copper.

The property, owned by Centurion Mines (CTMC-Q) and situated near Milford, contains 50 million lb. of leachable copper. Production costs are estimated at 65 cents per lb.

The drilling confirmed the southeastern extension of the deposit, which remains open to the east and southwest.

Engineering and design work is on schedule for the open-pit mine and solvent extraction-electrowinning facility. All major permits were expected to be submitted by presstime, with construction scheduled to follow.
