DIAMOND NEWS ROUNDUP — Micros found at Aquila pipe

Summer exploration has picked up steam at the Roundrock property in the Northwest Territories, following the discovery of the Aquila kimberlite pipe.

Lytton Minerals (LTL-T) was informed by partner Ashton Mining of Canada (ACA-T) that the pipe is diamondiferous. A total of nine microdiamonds has been recovered from two samples weighing about 25 kg each.

Ashton has intensified its exploration effort in hopes of finding additional indicator mineral trends and drill targets.

The Roundrock property is 200 km north of Yellowknife and 140 km west of Lac de Gras. It is held equally by Lytton and Pure Gold Resources (PUG-T). Ashton can earn a 51% interest by spending $1 million on exploration by mid-August of 1997.
