Anvil’s Faro pays off in earnings

Increased production at the Faro mine in the Yukon has contributed a profitable third quarter for Anvil Range Mining (ARO-T).

The zinc-lead producer generated revenue of $54.9 million and earnings of $7.1 million for the third quarter ended July 31, 1996.

The company produced 83,00 tonnes of zinc and 45,000 tonnes of lead concentrates over the period, an increase of 10% and 6%, respectively, over the second quarter.
