Chama shows bulk-tonnage potential

Rock samples from Corriente Resources’ (CTQ-T) Chama property in Peru have confirmed the continuity of gold mineralization between widely spaced outcrops.

Areas exceeding 1 gram gold per tonne included 70 metres of 1.2 grams, 40 metres of 1.2 grams, 55 metres of 2.2 grams, 90 metres of 1.7 grams, and 60 metres of 1 gram.

The samples are in two zones of gold mineralization spaced 500 metres apart.

The zones are part of a larger, gold-bearing system measuring 1,000 by 500 metres.

The remaining channel samples indicate consistent;y low-grade gold values typically ranging from 0.2 to 0.8 gram in the heavily leached rocks at surface.

A first phase of drilling is set for the new year.
