Ventures prepares for Alaskan drilling

Ventures Resource (VRS-V) is evaluating gold occurrences on its Seventy-mile gold property in eastern Alaska.

Contractor Watts, Griffis & McOuat has identified 12 gold prospects along the 30-mile Tintina fault.

Half of the prospects were previously drilled, having returned several ore-grade intercepts, and Ventures plans to drill 15,000-20,000 ft. in 1997.

Ventures gained control of the 1,050-sq.-mile property through an agreement with Doyon Ltd., an Alaskan Native corporation. The agreement gives the company exclusive mineral rights to more than 3 million acres of land in Alaska.
