Lyon Lake Mines (LLL-M) has wrapped up a 5,000-Metre reverse-circulation drill program on its Beta Vargas gold property, 150 km northwest of San Jose, Costa Rica.
The program consisted of two phases. The first phase tested the extension of the Beta Vargas mine with 20 previously reported holes over 1,360 metres, whereas phase two tested the Guaitilar East, Castillo, Sinter and Guaitilar West areas of the Canamazo concession, several kilometres northwest of the mine site. That program consisted of 52 holes over 3,640 metres.
To date, results have been obtained from 46 of Canamazo’s holes. Highlights include: 36 metres (from 0 to 36 metres) grading 1.58 grams gold per tonne in hole 5 (Guaitilar East); 58 metres (from 22 to 80 metres) of 0.59 gram in hole 7 (Guaitilar East); 34 metres (from 16 to 50 metres) of 1.47 grams in hole 19 (Guaitilar East); and 12 metres (from 98 to 110 metres) of 3.58 grams in hole 34 (Castillo).
The company plans to begin processing ore from the open-pit Beta Vargas mine by the end of June.
