MINING MARKETS AND INVESTMENT NEWS — INSIDER TRADING — Caisse sells large Sherritt holding

Recent insider trading reports released by the Ontario Securities Commission show that Quebec-based investment fund Caisse de Dpot et Placement du Qubec sold a significant block of shares in nickel producer Sherritt International (S-T) in March. The Caisse, obliged to report its trading activity by virtue of being a holder of more than 10% of equity, sold 850,000 shares at $6.03-6.47 each to hold 2,253,000 shares.

Other insider trades reported by the Commission in recent weeks included: * Adrian Resources (ADL-V) — Chet Idzisek, director, sold 10,000 shares at $1.03-1.20 each to hold 284,000 shares.

* Aurado Exploration (AEO-T) — P.T. Conroy, director, sold 30,000 shares at 31-35cents each through Global Minerals; also bought 400,000 shares at 19-48cents each and sold 27,000 shares at 34-36cents each through Marinex, to hold 373,000 shares through Marinex and 170,000 through Global.

* Aurizon Mines (ARZ-T) — I.S. Walton, director, bought 110,000 shares at 52-60cents each to hold 408,900 shares. Mary Walton bought 20,000 shares at 54-55cents each to hold 120,900 shares.

* BMR Gold (BGL-T) — F.R. Varseveld, director, sold 318,500 shares at 9-10cents each and sold 50,000 shares privately at 10cents each to hold 332,304 shares.

* DiamondWorks (DMV-V) — Robertson Stephens Investment Management, holder of more than 10% of equity, bought 75,100 shares at 90-92cents each to hold 16,668,221 shares.

* Glimmer Resources (GME-V) — John Lill, director, bought 26,500 shares at 91cents each to hold 26,500 shares.

* Inca Mining (IM-A) — Joel Scodnick, director, bought 14,500 shares directly at 60-69cents and another 12,000 share indirectly at 61-69cents, and sold 11,000 shares directly at 61cents and another 3,000 shares indirectly at 61-65cents, to hold 3.2 million shares directly, 3.1 million through 671406 Alberta Inc. and another 3.1 million through Gabriel Maria.

* International Pursuit (IPJ-T) — R.J.G. Boxer, director, sold 25,100 shares held in an RRSP at $3.01 each to hold 332,655 shares in the RRSP and 2,700 shares directly.

* NAR Resources (NRL-M) — S.G. Hawkins, director, sold 9,400 shares at $3.60-4.50 each to hold 650,288 shares. L.J. Taylor, director, bought 13,800 shares at $3.30-4.10 each to hold 432,800 shares.

* Platexeco (PGMI-C) — Roger Scoon, director, bought 50,000 shares at 1cents in a private placement, to hold 50,000.

* Romarco Minerals (R-T) — Judith Robinson, director, sold 75,000 shares at $2.41-2.85 each to hold 35,000 shares. J.H.G. Van Bastelaar, director, sold 24,500 shares at $2.55-2.60 each to hold 10,500 shares.

* Rupert Resources (RUP-V) — Paul Wardhaugh, officer, was granted 50,000 options at 46cents, exercised 20,000 options at 21cents, acquired 100,000 shares in a private placement at 1cents and bought another 5,800 directly at $1.94-2.70, and sold 4,700 shares at $3-3.30. The transactions left him holding 200,000 shares and no options.

* Scorpion Minerals (SCP-T) — Busquiz Pty., a company controlled by directors S.G. Bizzell and F.C. Quinn, bought 130,500 shares at 40-45cents each to hold 308,250 shares.

* Sharpe Resources (SHRC-C) — Royal Standard Minerals, a subsidiary company, sold 837,500 shares at 80-96cents each to hold 162,500 shares.

* Vencan Gold (VCG-M) — E.M. Wolfe, director, bought 35,000 shares at 65cents-$1.10 each and converted 7,700 options to hold 642,788 shares directly and 5,000 shares through B.J. Wolfe and was granted 25,000 options to hold 142,300 options directly.

* World Wide Minerals (WWS-t) — Dundee Bancorp, holder of more than 10% of World Wide, sold 8,631,415 shares indirectly at 29cents, to hold none.
