Richmond, B.C.-based Radarsat International and Rockville, Md.-based Earth Satellite have won a Canadian-American Business Achievement Award, in recognition of their remote sensing partnership.
The award honors the two companies’ progress in pioneering marine oil seep detection for petroleum exploration. Their work has helped to identify new oil reserves and lower oil surveying and exploration costs, while creating new applications and markets. An award ceremony will take place June 2 at the Canadian embassy in Washington, D.C.
