MINING MARKETS & INVESTMENT NEWS — NEWS ROUNDUP — Taurus terminates agreement

Vancouver-based International Taurus Resources (ITS-V) has cancelled its agreement with American Copper (ACC-V) to explore and develop the Lyon gold property in Yerington, Nev.

Taurus intends to continue work on the property using funds from a recent warrant financing. About $360,000 has been spent exploring the property to date.

In other news, American Copper’s recent attempt to acquire Oro Nevada Resources (ONV-A) was thwarted when the intended takeover target agreed to sell its key asset, the Dean Ranch gold property in Nevada, to the Cortez joint venture (T.N.M., Nov. 2-8/98).
