Provenor resumes work in Abitibi

Montreal-based Provenor (PVN-A) has begun an exploration program at the Sleepy Block portion of the Louvicourt-Vauquelin property, currently under option from Cambior (CBJ-T).

Situated 30 km east of Val d’Or, Que., the Sleepy Block covers the Vicourt sill along a 4.8-km strike length. The Sleepy zone itself contains an inferred resource of 150,000 tonnes grading 5.1 grams gold per tonne, and is open in all directions.

Provenor will carry out an induced-polarization survey and then test an extension of the Sleepy zone with five drill holes totalling 1,500 metres.

Provenor has also started a 1,600-metre drilling program at the Urban-Barry gold property, currently under option from Inmet Mining (IMN-T).

In February, Provenor completed a public offering of 1.5 million shares at 25 cents per share for gross proceeds of $375,000.
