CIM returns to table

The noon-hour meetings of the Toronto-branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum will resume Sept. 23 with a discussion of the North American gold mining sector.

Donald MacLean and George Albino, gold analysts with Deutsche Bank Securities, are scheduled to speak at the meeting, which will be held at the Ontario Club. They will address the reactions of the gold industry to prolonged low gold prices and high debt, including mergers and other restructuring, as well as investor confidence.
