NEWS ROUNDUP — Rift begins African drilling

A 2,000-metre drill program is under way at the Adi Nefas and Doop properties owned by Rift Resources (rif-v) in Eritrea.

At Adi Nefas, a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit, the company is attempting to confirm results recovered by the country’s mines ministry. The property has a current resource of 1.2 million tonnes grading 11.5% zinc and 1.1% copper, as well as 4.37 grams gold and 165 grams silver per tonne. The zone remains open to the north, south and at depth.

Drilling at the Doop gold project will attempt to confirm a resource of 3.5 million tonnes grading 3.2 grams gold calculated by a French company.
