MINING MARKETS & INVESTMENT NEWS — NEWS ROUNDUP — Jaguar drills copper prospect

A drill program by International Jaguar Equities (JAG-V) is testing a copper-silver porphyry system at the Northwest copper prospect in the Taseko Lakes region, 200 km north of Vancouver, B.C.

The 4-hole program was launched after field work identified new targets and boosted the company’s understanding of the mineralized system. A compilation of existing data led to an interpretation of copper mineralization having been developed at the contact between porphyritic intrusives and overlying volcanic rocks. This contact is marked by intense alteration, acid leaching and the presence of copper oxide showings, some of which have been observed on surface in shear zones and dykes.

The drill program was designed to test the contact zone and some of the identified vertical structures.
