Government officials, property owners and representatives of mining companies will meet in late March to discuss opportunities and share information related to the mineral potential of northern Mexico’s Chihuahua district.
This third annual mining conference and exposition is organized by the Association of Mining, Metallurgical and Geological Engineers of the Chihuahua district and backed by local and federal governments.
The event is designed to promote mineral investment in the the region, which is viewed as prospective for gold, silver and base metals. The program will include presentations by several companies working in the area, including Grupo Mexico, Penoles, Minefinders, Gammon Lake and Barrick Gold. Goverment representatives and geologists will be on hand to discuss opportunities in the region. The event will be held March 22-25 in Chihuahua city at the Westin Soberano Hotel.
