Romios busy at Scossa

The final seven holes of an initial 14-hole, 1,107-metre diamond drilling program by Romios Gold Resources (YRW-V) on its Scossa gold property in Pershing Cty., Nev., failed to cut the high grades encountered in previous holes.

Selected results from the last seven holes graded 0.14-2.02 grams gold per tonne over widths of 0.6-1.8 metres. The holes tested several gold-bearing, epithermal quartz-breccia veins near mine workings that were active in the 1930s.

Previous drilling on the down-plunge extension of the mine workings returned values of up to 364 grams gold plus silver. Higher grades appear to be associated with brecciation, and visible gold was noted in some of the intersections.

Romios will continue working at Scossa, drilling known gold-bearing structures both at depth and near-surface. The company will also undertake ground geophysical and geochemical surveying over the entire property.
