Atlas Copco buys parts supplier

Swedish-based eqipment manufacturer Atlas Copco has bought Christensen Products, a division of Kansas-based Layne Christensen.

Christensen Products is a leading supplier of diamond core drill rigs.

The acquisition makes Atlas Copco the largest supplier of mining-related diamond drill bits and equipment in the world.

Christensen Products will continue to supply parts to Layne-Christensen Contracting Group.

Altas Copco is head-quartered in Stockholm and employs more than 26,000 people worldwide.
