Drilling on Silver Princess’ Sulphurets gold bet

Drilling on the Silver Princess Resources’ Doc claim group on the South Unuk River in the Sulphurets belt near Stewart, B.C., has confirmed a very strong structure over a strike length of 1,200 ft and to depths of 440 ft, reports President H. A. Briden.

Holes No 1 to 3 tested a major cross fault. Hole No 3 returned 0.156 oz gold per ton over 5.2 ft. Holes No 4 and 5 were drilled to test additional structure and did not return gold values.

Mr Briden says in all the above drill holes the structure was encountered where expected but core recovery did not exceed 75%. Water was lost and it is felt that the lack of values may be due to poor recovery and grinding of core in the critical areas, which were intensely sheared.

Hole No 6 returned 17.7 ft averaging 0.728 oz gold per ton while hole No 7 returned 11.2 ft averaging 0.371 oz.

Mr Briden says diamond drill holes No 8-10 show similar visible mineralization across gold widths. Assays are awaited.

Magna Ventures holds an option to earn a 55% interest in the property by spending a minimum of $500,000 by the end of this year and a further $700,000 in 1987.
