Drilling under way on Diana, CFC bet

Drilling has begun on the Queylus Twp., Que., gold property held under option by Diana Resources. Project operator Corporation Falconbridge Copper plans to spend $427,255 on the property following up several encouraging drill intersections completed in 1985. Diana has the right to earn a 20% interest by paying 20% of the exploration costs.

The 15,563-ft drill program will test four zones of mineralization discovered in 1985. The best values came from the East zone where drilling cut 4.9 ft grading 0.19 oz gold per ton and a 9.1-ft section grading 0.19 oz. If funds are available, Diana plans to drill six geophysical targets on its 800-acre property in Barraute Twp., Que.
