Goldstack and partners add to Dubuisson reserves

Drilling has added to reserves at the Dubuisson Twp., Que., gold project operated by Aumine Exploration for partners Goldstack Resources and Sullivan Mines.

A 23,000-ft drill program completed this month has added 300,000 tons of reserves to the property inventory, Goldstack says. “This brings our total tonnage figure to well above the one-million level, with grades expected to be 0.18 oz gold per ton,” Goldstack President Herve Drolet says in a report to shareholders.

As a result of this work, Aumine and Sullivan have entered into a new agreement with Goldstack. Under the new deal, once Sullivan spends an additional $800,000 on the property, all three partners will hold equally a 33.33% interest in the project.

Located eight miles west of Val d’Or, the property encompasses the old Malartic Goldfields mine workings. Past production from the mine totalled nine million tons grading 0.17 oz gold per ton. The known reserves built by the recent drilling are in an area previously not mined. With more than $226,000 in cash, Goldstack is adequately financed to meet its share of any expenses above the $800,000 being spent by Sullivan.
