50 Years Ago –JANUARY, 1937– ATHABASCA GOLD FINDS APPEAR HIGHLY

What appears to be important new gold discoveries have been made on Norite Bay, Lake Athabasca. The finds were made just before freeze-up, but sufficient information has already been secured to indicate the possibility of an entirely new camp developing 80 miles east of Goldfields and 30 miles west of Stoney Rapids.
