Drilling slated on HSK’s Aloigny bet

A total of eight drill holes representing approximately 4,000 ft of drilling is planned to be completed by the end of February on HSK Minerals Aloigny Twp property in the Casa Berardi area of northeastern Quebec by Gennevieve Resources

HSK President Hugh Harbinson says the results of the recently completed ground geophysics has identified a minimum of eight exploration targets that warrant diamond drill testing for gold and or base metal mineralization.

Gennevieve has an option to earn a 60% interest in the property by spending $600,000 prior to December, 1988.

In other company news, Mr Harbinson says that shaft dewatering rehabilitation and underground sampling will start shortly on the 59-claim Olive Gold project in Mine Centre, Ont.

This project is under option to Noront Resources who may earn a 60% interest by a total expenditure of $500,000 by April, 1989.

A program, including diamond drilling, of approximately $250,000 is budgeted during the next 12- month period.

Work performed by HSK since 1983 has outlined about 18,000 tons grading 0.34 oz gold per ton near the existing mine workings. In addition, the area below the existing mine workings remains open and untested and the Olive structure itself has been traced on surface by drilling and trenching to a length in excess of 2,000 ft.

Mr Harbinson says Corporation Falconbridge Copper has advised HSK of its intent to drill three anomalies identified by the company’s geophysical program carried out last year on HSK’s 86-claim block, located contiguous to and south of the Olive Gold property.

Last year Falco Copper, spent $125,000 to earn a 25% interest and may increase its interest to 60% by a total expenditure of $450,000 prior t o November, 1989.
