Mistango results prompt larger drill program

The results of a small drilling program by Mistango Consolidated Resources on its Laval Twp. property near Sioux Lookout, Ont., have prompted the company to plan a major program.

The four holes intersected 5.8 ft grading 0.49 oz gold per ton, within which a 2-ft section graded 1.33 oz. The property is located six miles southwest of the former producing Goldlund mine and the Lacal property is believed to be an extension of the granodiorite dykes hosting the mine.

The company is currently drilling its Sturgeon Lake property where a program in early 1986 was successful in locating a 50-ft-wide quartz carbonate sheer zone which contained narrow veinlets carrying visible gold and pyrite.
