New zone drilled by Highland-Crow

A new gold-bearing zone has been discovered on the large property held by Highland-Crow Resources. Located northeast of Pickle Lake, Ont., the property includes the former producing Patricia Crow mine.

Drilling northeast of Powderhouse Lake, in an areas previously untested, cut gold mineralization grading 0.2 oz gold per ton across 16.3 ft. The same section included 10 ft assaying 0.32 oz. A deeper section intersected 17.3 ft grading 0.035 oz. The sections are believed to be close to true width, Highland- Crow says.

Of significance, the company says, is that the new zone is far removed from the Pickle Crow shear zone — the major structure associated with the iron formation-hosted deposits in the area.

The news of the new discovery helped nudge the company’s share price on the Toronto Stock Exchange over $6. In October, the issue traded in the $3.50 range.
