Drilling started at Dubuisson bet

An $800,000 exploration program has been started on gold property in Dubuisson Twp. in northwestern Quebec, the president of Goldstack Resources, Herve Drolet, reports. The drilling is being undertaken by Aumine Explorations, which, at the end of the program, will own a 33 1/3% interest in the property along with Sullivan Mines and Goldstack.

Reserves of 1.1 million tons grading 0.18 oz gold per ton are indicated; the recent drilling, Mr Drolet reports, has added to the tonnage. Two holes drilled on a previously unexplored part of the property had the following results: hole No 87-18, from 141.5 ft to 149.3 ft, 0.77 oz across 7.8 ft; hole No 87-21, from 480.8 ft to 489 ft, 0.65 oz across 8.2 ft.

“This area will make quite a stope when mined,” Mr Drolet said. “The holes are 300 ft apart, vertically, in terms of depth and add a new high grade dimension to the deposit.”

Goldstack has an interest (30%) in another gold property in Dubuisson Twp., which is leased to Noranda Exploration and Tundra Gold Mines. A recent drill hole by Tundra intersected 0.16 oz across 7.5 ft between 760.5 ft and 768 ft, Mr Drolet reports.

Goldstack also has an option to earn a 100% interest on property in Duverny Twp., near Amos. The company is cutting lines in preparation for an ip survey. Drilling will follow.
