Encouraging drill results have been returned from a program being conducted by joint venture partners Freewest Resources, Noranda Exploration, Prophet Resources and Cline Development. The work is being done on ground located north of Wawa, Ont.
Some of the better intersections from the Lake zone include three feet grading 0.598 oz gold per ton in hole 31 and 0.16 oz in a deeper 18-ft section within the same hole.
Hole 33 cut 27.8 ft grading 0.12 oz whereas hole 40 intersected 8.1 ft assaying 0.31 oz. The partners note that hole 43 intersected a new zone of mineralization. The hole cut 5.9 ft grading 0.25 oz and 6 ft assaying 0.54 oz. Additional drilling on this new discovery is expected to start immediately, Freewest reports.
