Exploration crews on Windflower Mining’s Goldfinch property in the Revelstoke division of British Columbia have discovered a new mineralized zone of quartz- carbonate vein and quartz stockwork along Scott Creek, some 500 m north of the gold-bearing quartz vein currently being drilled, President Gerald Ryznar says.
The new zone extends for 500 m with widths generally 3-4 m and occasionally as wide as 10 m, he says. To date significant gold values have been obtained from surface samples along more than 100 m. Assays of grab samples and narrow chip samples have varied from 3 g to 26.7 g (0.09 oz to 0.78 oz) per ton.
Preparations are under way for an immediate program of surface trenching prior to diamond drill testing, Mr Ryznar says.
