One of the volume leaders this week was Findore Minerals which reached a high of 65 cents on 182,000 shares. The company has just acquired 21 claims in Garrison Twp., east of Matheson, Ont. Findore plans to perform a geophysical survey shortly. Newly-listed Glencairn Explorations was also active trading 102,000 shares during the week. The issue remained unchanged at 35 cents -40 cents .
Hardrock Extension, which is busy exploring a large property near Geraldton, Ont., drilled a strong section of 20 ft grading 0.3 oz gold per ton on the Discovery zone. The company is planning to complete 60,000 ft of drilling on this zone, which has been traced for 475 ft along strike by 16 drill holes. The issue was steady at 40 cents -50 cents .
Wye Resources, which is planning a small scale mining operation in northwestern Ontario, was quiet at 43 cents -45 cents . Northfield Capital, which is the parent company of a group of gold explorers listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange, was unchanged at 45 cents -50 cents . The group could be looking at substantial cash flow within 18 months from interests in the Cheminis gold deposits at Larder Lake, Ont.
