50 YEARS AGO JULY, 1937 JAPANESE INVADE CANADA FOR METALS

A peace-time invasion of Canada by Oriental capital in quest of metals for industrial purposes is in actual progress, evidence received this week from Vancouver by The Northern Miner reveals.

Active steps are being taken, according to The Northern Miner’s west coast representative, to secure control of potential sources of iron and nickel supplies for Japanese interests. Reprinted from The Northern Miner, July, 1937
