A $150,000 diamond drilling program is under way on the Lac des Iles platinum property controlled by Cream Silver Mines. The Lac des Iles area is located north of Thunder Bay, Ont. A large tonnage low grade platinum group metals deposit, controlled by Boston Bay Mines, is located south west o f the Cream Silver claims.
Some geophysical survey work is also being completed on platinum claims in the Labrador Trough near the Quebec-Labrador border. In British Columbia, an exploration moratorium preventing mineral exploration in Strathcona Park may soon be lifted. Cream Silver holds several claims in the park.
