Newmont Mining Corp. of New York City has announced the appointments of John Johnson, Jr. as vice- president; Timothy Schmitt as vice-president and controller; and Graham Clark, Jr. as vice-president and western general counsel. Also, John Parry, a native of Vancouver, B.C., has been elected senior vice- president of the corporation. He’ll be responsible for mineral economics, technical services and mineral exploration.
