A 500-ft stepout hole on the joint venture property of North American Rare Metals and Dundee- Palliser Resources in Vezza Twp. in Quebec’s Casa Berardi area has extended the gold zone to 2,000 ft and open. Hole No A-13, collared 500 ft east of hole No 1, intersected 32.8 ft assaying 0.10 oz which includes a 9-ft section that ran 0.28 oz.
Drilling has been temporarily halted but is expected to resume by April 15 using two machines on a new 50,000-ft drill contract, S. G. Hawkins, nar’s president, told The Northern Miner this week.
North American’s 50% interest in the project is being financed by Tandem Resources while Dundee’s 50% interest is being financed by Camindex Mines, both of which are taking down treasury shares in the respective companies.
