Heavy-duty truck bed liners, constructed of vulcanized layers of 60- durometer rubber have been introduced by Semperit Industrial Products of Montvale, N.J. Compared to steel liners, these liners offer greater durability, greater noise reduction and shock absorption. The top layer of rubber has a low- friction coefficient for quick, complete load release.
Semperit liners weigh less than steel liners and are easier to install, according to the company. Several plies of high-tensile-strength nylon fibre at the bottom of the liners make them lie flat in the truck bed. They attach firmly to the truck bed with studs, washers and nuts.
