A $1-million flow-through- share-funded exploration program will be conducted this year on two properties held by New Beginnings Resources.
At the 59-claim Oskabukuta property east of Hemlo, Ont., New Beginnings plans to test five geophysical conductors outlined by previous work.
The funds will also finance exploration on the University River claims in the Mishibishu area west of Wawa, Ont.
In Nevada, gold production from the Sumich mine will be delayed by four months, the company says. Nevada Goldfields, the project operator, attempted to refurbish the old mill on site. However, problems with that work have forced Nevada to build a new 500-ton-per-day facility.
Mill construction is in progress and is expected to be completed by March. Gold production is scheduled to begin at the end of April. New Beginnings will receive a 50% net profits royalty after Nevada Goldfields is paid back $5 million(US).
