Harapiak resigns Belmoral position

A press release from the company states Harapiak has accepted an executive assignment overseas with an African resource company.

Harapiak moved over to Belmoral in late 1987 from the Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, where he was also the president. Harapiak has also resigned as a director of Belmoral, having served on the board since 1985.

Belmoral reported a loss of $7 million in 1988, attributable in part to a write-down of investments. Gold production in 1988 totalled 45,174 oz, down from 52,830 oz the year before.
