COATS (over-the-counter) Big jump for Carolin

Other junior gold issues active this week were Gold Bar Resources which closed at $1.34, down 6 cents on the week, and Canadian Gold Resources which was unchanged at 20 cents after 17 transactions. Red Lake area claim-holder Craibbe-Fletcher Gold Mines was a little better with trading in the 42-45 cents range. Craibbe-Fletcher closed at 45 cents after five transactions. The shares of McNickel Inc. have settled down to the 25-35 cents range, well below an earlier high of $3.25 a few months ago. A major drilling program on the company’s Lac St. Jean copper-nickel property in Quebec has failed to come up with an economic deposit.

Another nickel-copper explorer, Milestone Resource hasn’t fared too well either lately as its share price fell down another 5 cents this week to close at 22 cents . The company recently concluded a diamond drilling program on a Manitoba nickel property where a small deposit has been known for decades. There were 24 transactions involving the Milestone issue.

Shares of Ansil Resources moved up 1 cents to 91 cents on two transactions involving 105,037 shares. The company holds royalty interests in production from Minnova’s Ansil polymetallic mine in Quebec.
