A joint venture agreement has been signed between Total Energold (TSE) and Morrison Minerals (TSE), allowing the partners to pursue exploration targets near Casa Berardi, Que. By spending $1.5 million on exploration over the next three years, Total will earn a 50% interest in Morrison’s 453 claims in the Casa Berardi area. Total will also earn a 50% interest in a magnetic survey flown by Aerodat, Morrison’s subsidiary.
Morrison’s land holdings include a 172-claim copper-zinc property, five kilometres north of the Estrades copper-zinc-gold-silver deposit. The partners will use the results of the 76,000-line-km geophysical survey to delineate this and other prospective areas in the Casa Berardi region.
The joint venture is seeking exploration opportunities, and is encouraging property submittals from the Casa Berardi area. Total is also conducting geophysical surveys on claims held by Tarzan Gold (TSE) in the Casa Berardi region, in preparation for drilling later this year.
