Normetal Mining Exploration (ME) has signed a milling and smelting contract with Noranda (TSE) for the refining of 70,000 tons of zinc-silver ore, and the purchase of zinc and silver concentrates, by the latter’s Matagami Lakes division in northwestern Quebec. Normetal is mining the ore from a property near La Sarre, Que., which contains a former polymetallic producer, the Normetal mine.
