An ongoing exploration program at the Granada property six miles southwest of Rouyn-Noranda, Que., is focusing on shallow surface drilling (to 100 ft.) of the No. 1 and 2 vein systems, KWG Resources (ME) and SEG Exploration (ME) report.
The companies, each with a 50% interest in the project, said past mining operations centred on the No. 2 structure below 375 ft. while the No. 1 system received only limited testing.
Results from seven holes drilled on 50-ft. sections along 300 ft., on the eastern portion of the No. 1 system, were released:

About 700 ft. to the west along the side of the system, four holes were drilled on two fences 100 ft. apart. Of these, the easternmost fence intersected an area of faulting and only one hole returned core for assay purposes; results are pending. The second fence 100 ft. to the west cut 7.7 ft. of 0.19 oz. per ton in hole 92-18 and 7 ft. of 0.19 oz. in hole 92-19. SEG is owned 61.5% by St. Genevieve Resources (TSE) of Montreal.
