Minieres du Nord to drill Le Tac West

A 1,500-metre drill program is planned by Explorations Minieres du Nord (ME) on its 42 claim Le Tac West property 160 km northeast of Amos Que. The program, slated to commence within the next few weeks, will test several gold and base metal targets outlined by geophysical surveys.

Soquem can earn a 50% interest in the Bachelor Lake-Desmarisville area property by spending $550,000 on exploration over the next three years. The company also reports finding a kimberlite diatreme on the Le Tac West property. Following the discovery, two other properties, the Le Tac East-Lichen Lake group and the Le Sueur-Auger Lake group, were staked. Rousseau Tremblay, a noted diamond exploration consultant, has been retained to evaluate the kimberlite occurrence.
