NEWS ROUNDUP — Sheridan hearing postponed to Jan. 5

A court date to hear charges against mining promoter Patrick Sheridan has been postponed until Jan. 5, 1993, says the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC).

Originally scheduled for Aug. 25, the OSC hearing will deal with allegations that Sheridan is responsible for Madeleine Mines’ (TSE) failure to make a material fact public in 1991 and Dayton Porcupine Gold Mines’ (CDN) release of misleading information in 1989.
