Jarvis secures funds for facility

Incentive term loans from two Ontario government agencies totalling $1 million have been made available to Jarvis Resources (VSE) to establish a marble cutting and polishing facility near Sudbury, Ont.

Jarvis is developing a marble discovery 20 miles north of the city. The money, $500,000 each from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp. and the Northern Ontario Development Corp., will help the company buy the necessary equipment to set up an automated marble production facility. Among the items to be acquired are a block saw and slab and tile processing equipment.
