NEWS ROUNDUP — Work begins on ATT claims

An initial exploration program including prospecting, mapping, geochemical sampling and geophysical surveying was commenced recently at the ATT claims owned by Claimstaker Resources (VSE) and under option to Placer Dome (TSE).

The ATT claims are located about 3 km south of the Kemess South copper-gold property owned by El Condor Resources and St. Philips Resources in north-central British Columbia.

Under its option agreement, Placer is required to spend a minimum of $25,000 prior to Sept. 1, 1992, and can earn a 60% interest by spending a total of $1.1 million on the property as well as making option payments totalling $373,000 during a 7-year period.

Claimstaker notes that aeromagnetic surveys have indicated that the ATT claims are underlain by the same contact between Takla volcanics and the mineralized intrusive which characterizes the Kemess South deposit.
